How it works

Cell experiments have linked BPC-157 to changes in FAK and paxillin signalling, which are involved in cell attachment and movement. These observations help explain why the compound is studied in tissue-repair models.

What studies have examined

Chang and colleagues examined tendon-derived cells and reported changes in migration, tissue outgrowth and survival under stress. These were experimental findings, not evidence that a commercially supplied pen heals injuries in people.

How to interpret the findings

A change in a cellular marker is different from a demonstrated improvement in pain, mobility or recovery time. The cited study cannot establish those outcomes for this product, and it does not provide a basis for personal treatment schedules.
